Training with ICBT Ireland
The ICBT currently offers two training programmes in Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy:
Certificate In REBT
The Certificate course is a 6 day training for those who wish to learn more about REBT / CBT theory and how they can apply it to their work but may not plan to do formal psychotherapy. As such, it may be useful to social workers, nurses, doctors, dieticians, occupational therapists, youth workers as well as counsellors and psychotherapists. Diploma In REBT
The Diploma involves 30 training days over two and a half years and is an in-depth training in REBT. It is designed to provide formal training in psychotherapy for those who wish to practice as therapists. The training requires students to provide psychotherapy under the supervision of trainers. The diploma is currently being reviewed and so new applications are not being accepted. Please keep an eye on the website for further development.
